Fishy Reunion

Two days back, the primary school guys had an outing at Ikoi Japanese Restaurant which is at the Miramar Hotel. I read from reviews that the fish sashimi is pretty decent there.

Upon reaching, there was quite a crowd there already. Edmund went crazy on ordering all kinds of sashimi and sharing it with Yisheng. I took a while to decide what to eat..well..it’s a buffet but it doesn’t mean I have to choose everything, right? So I proceeded on to choose the stuffs I normally eat.

Govinder was complaining how bland the Chawan Mushi was while I was complaining how bland the miso soup was. A trip to Japan sure changed everything I had on Local Japan Food. LOL. Yet, we stuffed ourselves to our full and Edmund just keep on ordering more and more food. Hey, his hard-earned muscles going to waste….Well, he did mentioned he was going to gym later…

Speaking of Edmund, all of us was commenting how tight he looked that day. LOL. Looking forward for the next outing which we will be invading his house and PARTY!!!

Merry Xmas 2007

Christmas celebration for this year was simple yet delightful. And as usual, my phone had to go out of battery at the right moment… -_-”

After meeting the guys at 7pm, we went still deciding what and where to go. I wanted so much to go to K-Box for singing but as expected, places were taken up. Not to mention there are people who don’t enjoy hearing me crack glasses. LOL. So after a while of thinking, walking and squeezing, we decided dinner at The Cafe Cartel and then a camp out at The Coffee Connoisseur.

After a hour long wait outside Plaza Singapura, we finally got in and I immediately dashed for the bread loaf. I heard the loaf here is simply wonderful. We ended up ordering their special St Louis Style Pork Ribs without service charge due to their 10th Anniversary promotion. We helped ourselves with another round of bread. At the end, we ended up almost looking pregnant. LOL. To think I almost added a snacks platter. Zheng Xian sure can eat a lot despite his skinny build.

After the belly-exploding dinner, we walked all the way to Orchard while avoiding possible spray rain and ended up in TCC next to Centrepoint. We ordered drinks and chatted all the way till countdown for christmas. We got to know each other more and I appreciated the time spent there.

Merry Christmas to all! And have a Happy New Year!

Wii Wii Wii

It’s pretty amazing how temptations or verbal advertisements work so well. It’s almost like a craze. Then again, we are talking about Singapore kiasu-ness.

Well, just a couple of days back, Maxsoft organized a mini roadshow for the Nintendo Wii at Funan Digitalife Mall. The location is between Gamescore and G3. Booths were up and as usual the cute gals were there too.

This is essentially a good thing. The event will bring more awareness to the public about the Wii rather than some impression of a gaming console that might cost you a television due to an impulsive act of throwing the Wiimote at it.

But what really transcends these days were amazing. I got keen people who were looking forward to get a Wii for Christmas or other reasons and I got bystanders looking. The thought of “What’s this next thing to get after McDonald’s Hello Kitty plushies?” might have crossed their minds. And so, they blindly bought it and some games while I do get people who need an extra push on their backs. Total number of Wii sold on the event: 122.

I met up with Kane at Funan and I asked about someone. Apparently, he still remains the same. Which also explains a lot of things. Life goes on and everyone do have their own life to care about. I also met up with Thomas there too…really such a coincidence. Maybe the guy up there wants me to know everything’s back to normal.

The holidays are ending and Huxley is becoming a bit emotional now. Well, they will be having their O levels next year. Fun’s over and hell breaks loose. But then, it’s a parcel of life. ^^

Almost Walking The Aisle

I found something that’s suitable to me and I’m loving it. It also puts me near and closer to the gang. Darn it, I should have gone into software earlier. I met Vincent from Xbox LIVE there and he really put on lots of muscle from army. He used to be quite lean.

And about the name of this entry, don’t worry…I’m not getting hitched but just Friday, I was at my primary classmate’s wedding. And the best part, I arrived just when he was about to commence the wedding dinner. Time in fact was 8.30pm. LOL.

I actually came after work so that pretty much explained the delay. The usual primary school dudes were there. Huaqiang, Jianqi, Govinder and his girlfriend, Zhengqiang and his girlfriend and Yisheng finally appearing. I last saw Yisheng 5 years back in SAFPU. Now he’s so much thinner and I realised he had quite a broad nose(Sorry…Yisheng but it’s just too unavoidable…lol). Edmund wasn’t there as his illness acted up and attacked his left leg. To think he missed 2 primary classmates’ weddings…

After coming back from the dinner, I went to work on the primary school song. Well, this idea came to me when I was on the train back. I brought the class photo to the wedding dinner and as usual, they were trying to figure out names again. A task was mentioned about trying to find back all 42 of us. Then it just hit me that maybe I should create a website about our class. Get it publicized and maybe they will come looking for us. Now all I need is to recall the lyrics of our school song.

Final Fantasy XI: Wing of the Goddess is out and I’m surprised the gang are interested into playing it. It’s a good time to get back into the game and revive back my Elven Male. I still love waving at airships outside Bastok. LOL!
