Eye-popping

Work has been so busy lately. I really wish I can stop time and space like Hiro from Heroes and continuing my sorting and packing. All these stock checking is causing a toll on my eyes. I tried to put on my glasses and hey…it was worse. Oh wait…hmmm….my eyesight getting better??

Some people I know will go crazy upon hearing the words. I also hear the same words almost everyday too. It all starts with a cute little…erm….erm…yellow creature which vocabulary only has two words. Pi. Ka. Yup, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl for the Nintendo DS are out. And for the first time, I finally…reluctantly….started playing it.

But I was taken aback. All this time, I always regard Pokemon games as kiddie games although I do know some older people fondle it. A little suggestion from Brandon for me to visit Serebii.net was an eye-opener for me. I didn’t know Pokemon games are so much in depth too as any other role playing games. The ways to unlock more Pokemons. The characteristics of the Pokemons. And the ways to build a strong Pokemon team. Seeing people posting about their teams in Gamescore was a feat for me although I am still much a noob here. I didn’t know Wilbur and Leona love Pokemon too.

Alright, I didn’t intend to keep this long but the local Wii is finally out and I’m so tempted to get one. Mr-Only-Care-About-Winning’s birthday is coming soon. Have to liaise with the rest to get his present. ^^:

School of HOUGwarts

Behold the Houg Red Dot Symbol!!!

Hey, who will miss out the great game Pepsi Cola also invented by Edmund. LOL. Well, it’s actually a foot stepping game whereas each side tries to step on each other’s foot on turn. The fun is actually anticipating who and when to attack or evade. And as far as balls being crushed….my balls were lucky. LOL

Recently, I met up with Alexander. A interesting guy I learnt back in school and also still amazing right now. I didn’t know he acted on TV recently…well…if he put his heart in it, he can be a hot idol. LOL. Thanks to him, I learnt about the dark side of a media school I was interested in joining. Seems he also got to rearrange his life besides awaiting his new job. Well, wish you all the best in achieving everything, Alex.

Oh ya I forget to do this……HOUG!

The Reunion

Well I let the picture do the talking.

We had dinner at Fish & Co at Wheelock Place. We talked about the days during our primary school days, relived precious memories and catched up with each other’s progress. Then we went to Spinelli for some drinks. We decided to have a gathering once per month and hope more of the guys will join in.

It’s funny that Edmund and Jeng kept talking about stocks and brokers. Well I tried to keep this short as I’m still crying with joy. LOL!

Moments Before The Reunion

It may look like a line from Final Fantasy VII Advent Children but hey my life ain’t no video game. Seriously speaking, I can’t deny my excitement and anxiety.

In about 18 hours from now, I will be meeting up with my primary school friends whom I had not been in contact for about 10 years and above. For a start, I have been awaiting for this reunion for a long while. It has been one of my goals to achieve every year and finally it’s going to be fullfilled.

Although some of them are not able to turn up due to work and personal reasons, but at least we are finally in contact. We are still stringed together in this fate of meeting each other again. Okay…it may sound that I’m making the whole thing sound so mysterious but nothing can be such of a concidence.

Firstly, most of them used to live in Ang Mo Kio then at a later part of their lives they moved. The rest didn’t move at all. Those who moved didn’t move very far away and strangely moved to almost the same area which also not far away from Ang Mo Kio. For example, Sembawang, Hougang and Bishan. Some even moved together to the same location like Zhengqiang and Yuhua in Sembawang.

Secondly, our times spent in DQPS are full of times when we used to play a certain game invented by a particular person in class. This particular person is also special in his own aspect…well…maybe sound a bit rude to him so we tend to take notice of him. Seriously, till now I still don’t know what illness is that but he can’t get injured or else his bleeding wouldn’t stop easily. So he was always bandaged at his elbows and knees. Yup, the man for bringing us together…Edmund. The inventor of the incredible rubber games. The core of our fate. LOL.

After we left primary school, we gradually lost contact. Then the period of being in different environments and learning new friends. Years passed and time flew. Till that fateful day I registered myself with Friendster. I’m always thinking if I managed to contact Edmund, there could be a chance that I can see the others again. So that particular night I searched on Friendster for traces of everyone. I was so happy when I managed to find some of them. But the main lead was not yet to be found…

Fate really plays a joke on us. REALLY. One fine day, noon, Jeng messaged me that Edmund happened to work in the same finanical company he was in. I was almost in tears at that point. I finally contacted him and he proposed for a gathering which if all had seen my previous entries…delayed till now…lol. And sure strangely enough, I started seeing things. LOL. Well, basically if I start to see my long lost friends, they will start to appear one by one. Behold the almighty Edmund!!!

I must say this again that fate really pulls off a damn joke on us. For over 10 years, we are not in contact but yet we could have seen or contacted each other easily. We had never left far away from each other but yet we don’t see each other much. Even for someone who used to be living one block away.

Frankly speaking, I didn’t expect this entry to be a long one but I believe my anxiety got hold of me somehow. Well…it’s really such a long time. Think I will have a sleepless night. And guys, if you all happen to read this, I’m not gay but….I LOVE YOU ALL!!! LOL!
