The 2nd Blog

Well I’m not the kind to keep a 2nd blog or hidden blog or private blog whatever people use it for. But due to the reasons that some of my friends use LiveJournal and only friends can see private entries on LiveJournal, I created an account.

http://hikarinokairyu.livejournal.com

Well, it might be a sleazy name but it’s not I wanted to. At the moment, it’s pretty bare in there so here comes the update.

I will still blog in this current blog while the LiveJournal one will be a blog filled with my memories. A sorta of a memory capsule or a walk down memory lane.

People tend to forget things and fail to cherish them. So in order not to and also I can always go back there to relive my memories, I will fill it up with random memories in no particular order, be it good or bad, past or present or sweet or bitter. I will do a prompt on this blog everytime I do a memory update.

People take note that the LiveJournal entries are not directed at anyone or accusations made by me. They are basically my memories of what I remembered. People are still free to comment or even share similar memories.

Okay, I might sound a bit serious but really, I don’t want people to get funny ideas. Oh wait, time to take a walk in memory lane. ^^

Journey to the West

Someone have to tell Eugene about this. Can the venue for next year’s Kouhaku become much more accessible. Maybe like in the city where a much bigger audience is possible?

So on that fateful Saturday, waking up on time proved to be a chore to me. Thanks to the hefty work from 2 outlets on 2 consecutive days. I can’t tell you how much I wanted to just ignore everything and walk out. And it’s not a good thing to hold on to many shop keys. Time to cut the rambo act.

After waking up to This Is Love from Utada Hikaru playing from my handphone(2nd alarm clock…), I dragged and crawled(Yup….) my torso to the computer and started doing something I would call….a malfunctioning siren. Well, I was trying to piece some music together into one whole song and it ended up….well….like the sounds from my alarm clock. It dawned to me that I might need more sleep. So I collapsed on my bed and slept all the way till 12pm noon…forgeting to set my clock again and flying Will aeroplane. Gomenenasai… T_T

I got brunch then I tried to complete N3. I tried. Really tried. Then it’s Monster Hunter Freedom till I realised it was 3pm. The thought deep shit suddenly flashed across my mind. And so I had a rather quick bath and managed to flag a taxi down after been hijacked once by a lady. I was already late when I got to NUS like 5 mins late. Then the thought holy shit flashed across my mind. Where the *beep* is Lecture Threatre 13? NUS is still a maze to me and no one to direct me this time. The cab went on a tour till I decided to ask a student for directions. Not to mention a chio one too. So after roaming for 10mins in NUS, I finally got to LT13. Eugene led me to a seat. ^^:

To talk about the show, I missed the medleys but I managed to catch the individual performers. Tomoyo, Skye, Tai Ann, Vania and Rika were still the best but still some of them still literally shouted into the mike. Actually, professionally, Vania should be the best performer that night. She does have that Do-As-Infinity-que atmosphere around her. The turnout was better than last year and I would say this year might the best I have ever been to. But to talk about the flaws….well…boring and long-winded emcees….shouting into the mike….sort of miscommunications among each other….how the stage curtains were used. Thomas told me about the hard work behind the whole event and I totally agreed. This should be a standard to maintain but there’s still room for improvement. Alas, if Mun Chiew sang, it would be even better. LOL.

Life’s gonna be a bit busier for me as I will be everywhere in town for a period. Oh….Chrome Hounds sound like a pretty hot game as preorders are running out. Hope the shortage issue will get resolved. And so now to the next….

Blog = Best Friend!?

I found it hard to blog about something nowadays. It will be pretty boring if I talk about work for example, how many brats spilled their drinks on the floor or how I want to smack Simon in the face. Could be it be what they are talking about…the blogging trend is over? Or maybe, there’s nothing much to talk about in my life anymore…

Even though, I have to blog. It’s the only time that my fingers do the talking and even the shouting. Blogs are indeed sacred. For most, they are tools of venting fustration and disagreement about people and things. On the other hand, they can also relate about the happy things that happen in each person’s life. For then, they are double edged swords. Yet, the strangest thing is that people would still put them up in cyberspace. If it’s so private, why not keep a diary? So no one will get to read them. After some personal experience and some research on other people’s blog, I will say that a blog is a person’s best friend.

Why do I say a person’s best friend? When a person has problems and he/she can’t find anyone that can help him/her or most importantly, listen, he/she blogs. The only living thing(in this case…non-living…) will listen to him/her as he/she fills it up with words. I’m sure most will experience a form of relief everytime a new entry is posted. On the other hand, he/she will expect some help from this friend like relaying a message or personal opinions about people and things. He/she can also ask it to keep a secret. Unfortunately, people do sometimes misunderstand the meaning of the messages time after time.

Well it’s pretty late already and I had my good bouts of DoTA and N3 with the guys. Well, rest assured it’s not a flame. As I said, I just had no topic for today. ^^:

The Jinx, The Tube and The Rice Dumplings

I thought that my life had ended for me since the day she quitted. Thanks to those who told me to brace myself and move on. I really want a happy life but then fate just loves to bully me. My new colleague is an extraordinary being. He is an absolute….SLACKER!!!! A living SLUG. I really can’t understand how he likes the way he handle things like the shop and how he works. Firstly, he’s a complete idiot. Secondly, he’s slow in both physically and mentally. Lastly, he makes a mess of the shop by ordering inapproriate items and leaving stocks around the shop. To think that he once handled singlehandedly an outlet before that outlet closed down. Gosh! Now I know why that outlet closed.

Everyone’s sticking to their monitor nowadays. Other than playing online games, chatting or doing work, there’s a new reason. Youtube. Or simply an online video sharing network. Well, I didn’t get into it till one of my customer told me about watching the Tammy video in there. Sometimes, I do hear my peers talking about it. Well, a browse through Youtube and you can find all kinds of stuffs inside. Since that the site is based on video uploaded by users, you can find very interesting homemade videos and sometimes…nasty ones too. But a rather unique thing is that some users actually uploaded past movies and animations. Which make Youtube a site to reminsce the past and our childhood again. Imagine watching the first episode of the Visionaries. Or even M.A.S.K. Smurfs anyone? LOL.

It’s the time of the year that you see small green pyramids filled with delicious pork and rice hanging almost anywhere. Yup, Dumpling Festival is here. I had my load of delicious rice dumplings when I got back work on that day itself. Actually, it doesn’t mean that to eat rice dumplings, it must be on that day. But then, to eat and celebrate on that day has its own significance and story. But to me, it’s also an important day and especially one that I will never forget. It’s also my mother’s death anniversary. Not many people will experience mixed feelings on that particular day like me. She used to make rice dumplings and they are the best. I still remembers I used to help to pick out the bad rice from a packet of rice. I also tried to wrap one myself and they ended up in different sizes. She would joke about making losses if she would sell them off. LOL! ……It has been a long eight years without her. I will still remember her and miss her always.

Alright, it took a while for me to think of a heading that I took from The Witch, The Lion and The Wardrobe. I still haven’t watched X-Men 3 and I am already hearing too much spoilers. Hope Kenneth will call later~~ ^^:
