Seriously…..I can’t stand AhSiaKia’s laughter. You know it will reach to an inbearable high pitch and octave that I had to mute him on Skype. So much for the joke blog. -_-”

It’s been a long while since I went shopping with my sister. Due to our busy schedules, we can’t get to organise our usual trips to Junction 8 or town central. On Friday, we managed to free some time to go to Junction 8. She’s not been there for a long while so she was pretty naive about the fact that Bishan is going to be linked up with another MRT line. And also the major transformation Junction 8 had. Yup, it’s been a damn long time.

We explored the entire complex and I was somehow the tour guide. Then it was business. Ocean Pacific happens to have its renovation sale and my sister, being the typical Singaporean, wanted to grab some T-shirts. While we were browsing through, one of the male staffs asked my sister if I was her brother. We couldn’t understand why the special service till we paid for the shirts. This male staff used to be a colleague of my sister. They chatted for a while then it was back to business.

We loaded ourselves up with food and provisions then it was to go to our final destination. Pet Lovers Centre. Yup, Miss Usagi needed to load up as well. We got her a metal hay ball, her normal pack of pellets, a bag of snacks and a slate of lime for her to chew on. Well, she loves to use her mouth so much that she tends to think my fingers are carrot sticks. Then it was back home. I attached the ball of hay hanging from the cage’s ceiling. I did expected what was coming to happen. Miss Usagi lunged towards the ball, hit the ball with her paws, ball swinged up, ball came down and wacked her silly. I was laughing so much that my stomach ached. Now, she handles the ball with extreme caution. LOL.

Payday is coming. More capital for games. More capital for glorious food. More capital to…erm…cough…huh….hmmm….save? :P

Rainbow Heaven

I wonder if Heaven’s really as colourful as a rainbow. Well, I’ve been listening to this Chinese song sang by Liu Geng Hong. It’s a very simple song and has memorable lyrics. Translation of the chorus as follows…

I can’t find the way to Rainbow Heaven
Where love is healing sorrow with happiness
Both of us will stay together till end of time
I soar freely in the star lit night
With you by my side

It’s basically how we wish for love to be everlasting and forever. Till a stage we will dream or think of the impossible. Unless we find peace within ourselves, there will not be any good fortune or happiness. It may seem that it may apply to lovers but this song touches me in a way that it also applies to all relationships.

It’s never a pleasure to hear people complaining about each other where the listener is sandwiched between. Friendship is a issue. Being neutral is another. In short, when will we find peace among each other? Although it seems impossible to dream but cut the middleman some slack. He/she really don’t want to be involved too. Everyone don’t have to suffer together.

Although this time round, I didn’t get to invite everyone down for the buffet. It doesn’t mean those people uninvited means nothing to me. Just like this year, it was a payback for the outcome of last year. So if I missed anyone this year, I will make up for it definitely. I value everyone I know and I do not favour anyone. And everyone I mentioned will mean the gang, guys, gamers and others, not just only ONE single person.

Well, it wasn’t an easy entry but hey, I manage to write it with heavy eyes kudos to the people on Dead or Alive 4. So I guess it’s time to go near my bed….back facing bed…..and….timmmmberrrrrrr

Another Year Has Past…

Well, I was looking at the candles on the cake and I was thinking who came up with idea of using colour and size to represent the age. I kept silent for a while wishing that I can have unlimited wishes forever(Blem…), inhaled and exhaled. Congratulations, I am one year older.(…and much closer to become Uncle…)

My family and I celebrated my birthday at home prior to the actual day. Then there was the chalet and buffet on Saturday. My sister gave me a keychain from Julie Roberts. It’s a keychain with a four leaved clover sealed. It is supposed that if you wish on each petal of the clover and it will come true. Had fun thinking of wishes that night.

On Saturday, the guys and the gaming community came down for the chalet and buffet. Well, although most of them can’t make it for this time, the rest tried their best to make time to come and even came at the last minute. Thanks a lot guys. Mun Chiew came a hour after I checked in. Then he went off to rent a bicycle while waiting for the rest. Later the guys arrived. Stanley could only come much later. Ming came and we had a good time talking and playing games on the Xbox 360. The food came on time and I was expecting dinner to start after everyone arrived. Finally, Brandon(zokie), Zihui, Ben, Val and Sky came. Cheng Kai, Brandon(Teggy), Gary, Xiangyao and Xianyao arrived much later.

The guys had their fun exploring the park for some visual entertainment while the gaming community just glued on to playing the games on my Xbox 360 and Sky’s GameCube. After the gaming community left, the guys and I played Dai Dee through the night. That night, I finally figured out how to play the game after watching people playing for so long. We also went sight-seeing at Geylang before having the famous soya bean milk. The game we played was interesting as we implemented a rule for the loser to eat a piece of pastry which everyone avoided during the buffet. Poor Kenneth, being unlucky, ate more than ten pieces and he had to bail out or else he could have ended up finishing the whole tray. For me, maybe beginner’s luck, I didn’t get punished much. LOL.

Thank the gamers to get me Xbox 360’s Burnout Revenge and a PSP skin. Ming for the special birthday card. Kianz for the coin figure. Lancer for the….oral….keychain. Finally, Stanley and Kenneth for the horoscope ring and bangle. And oh also Andrew at work to give me Hang Ten t-shirt. Looking forward for next year already!

Gloomy Season

Sometimes I wonder how to measure a person’s maturity. Although AhSiaKia was laughing nonstop while reading, I found it very disturbing. Being defensive is a virtue but when it turns out to be stubborness or ignorance, I have nothing more to say but best wishes.

It dawned to me that the world ain’t what I had in mind or wished it was. People ain’t that considerate or frank anymore. They thought of no one but themselves. Everything he/she do is for their own benefit. Lying, prostination, framing, maligning, badmouthing, gossiping and many more are quite common now. Each to his/her own, huh? I begin to wonder…is this an evolution? Or is it an devolution?

Why am I in a depressive mood today you might wander. Maybe you didn’t notice but we had rather quite a number of horrid crimes or shocking events happening around us this year. For me, I’m also affected by the recent events that happened around me too. Firstly, we had the scandal from NYP. Earlier on, we had a man shot dead by his own henchman. Just yesterday, a man was knifed to death in his home. Maybe you would say why should I even care as those are people not related to me. But in fact, they are related. It shows the capabilities of the things people can do under certain conditions.

People say that the greatest enemy is yourself. Quite true apparently because you will never know what you can do. People think that they understand themselves well but only others know you better. You can try to exceed yourself but how can you do it without realising or understanding your limits? People say that don’t judge a book by its cover. How can you say it when you don’t even know yourself in the first place? People say that they know what they are doing and they know what’s best for them. If they really know or just prostinating. All seems the same and sums up to this. We tend to think too highly of overselves till we overlook other people or fail to understand them.

Let me relate an event that happen today. A bunch of students came to a shop. One had a cup of chocolate bubble tea. He ignored the “No food and drinks” sign and he and his group stepped in. They browsed around the shop. One of the students’ bag knocked down a ladder and the ladder hit the arm of the student who was holding the drink. The drink spilled on the floor. A female sales assistant saw what happened and demanded them to clean up the mess. The students argued that the spill was caused by the falling ladder and demanded an apology from the female sales assistant for the falling ladder and injury caused. The female sales assistant argued and threatened to report their misbehaviour and denial to clean up the mess to their principal. The students cleaned up the mess reluctantly.

It’s simple. What the hell are the youngsters thinking of nowadays? What has the current education nurtured them to be? Brainless, unreasonable and arrogrant? To think of using the ladder, a non-living thing, as an excuse for causing the spill? To think of demanding an apology from the sales assistant when she didn’t ask them to apologise for bringing drinks in the shop and causing a spill in the first place? The ladder wouldn’t not have fallen if the bag didn’t knock it down. The students refused to acknowledge that and only considered on their own perspective.

Stubborness or selfishness it may be. Sadly, there are people that are like that. The world is perfect and balanced after all. Yin and Yang. Good and bad.

Will be going to IT Show to visit some good people. Looking forward to the guys’ outing later. Kai Out!
