Dead, Enigmatic, Terror

Ok, I’m sooo dead. But never mind, I have risen from my grave and blog again! Hehehe….. (^^,)>>

A chance for me to realise my dream has arrived. And it arrived late. 3 years late to be exact. I’m going to try my luck to get into NYP for their DET(Digital Entertainment Technology) course. Surprisingly, Cheng Kai is interested too. Well it’s just a matter of time before he starts his habit of giving up halfway. Not so surprising as he quitted his course halfway. Well…I’m not better than him though. 14 days to submit a portfolio CD and I haven’t started on anything. As in programming. Reason? I know NUTS on programming. Well not till my motivation roars. I have the plot and script written and now I’m just left with the programming. So anyone reading this, HELP!!! I need people who are good with Flash. Looking at the aspect of the course, well…it’s pretty enigmatic. What if I want to learn about game design and cinematic effects together? This combo rocks. As in my person view.

Due to the above reason, I’m starting to dread looking at my computer. It has become a terror. Well maybe it’s just me. I really hope the game will strike real terror around. So I give myself a target. 1st of Feb. The game MUST be finished by then.

Hope this song can Inspire me and you. ^^

From This Day Forward

This is the title of the piece you are hearing right now. It’s done by a piano artist by the name of Kevin Kern. An interesting fact about him….he’s partially blind.

I was trying to look for some old junk when I stumbled across his collection. I can still remember the 1st time I heard his music. I was working in Music Junction some years ago. Then one day, I was asked to promote his collection album titled ‘More Than Words’. Well, in order to know his music better, I brought the CD back home. I noticed that some of his music were used in the soundtracks of dramas and movies.

Everything was fine till I heard this piece. I didn’t realise I was stoned and crying till my phone rang. I heard it again. And I realised why. This song brought back my childhood memories.

Those days when I felt alone…
Those days when I felt so helpless…
The weaker me…
The turning point when I’m been accepted by my peers…
The moment I changed ‘from this day forward’…

In fact, my eyes are wet now as I’m typing. Lol….I’m being a bit too emotional. (^^,)>>

2004 was a memory, 2005 is a new start!

It seems like everyone is spending their new year “wet”. Excluding the unfortunates whose were in Thailand, back at home, we were not totally “freed” from the downpour. Well. I spented mine at Sentosa’s Costa Sands Chalet which I saw rain almost everyday during the 2 days stay there.

A bit about the chalet….erm….it was really out of my expectation. It was kinda small for the amount of people I expected to be around. So it ended up about close to 20 people trying to squeeze and enjoy themselves in a chalet meant for just 4 persons. I brought my “assets” down…well I’m talking about my consoles…which weigh almost like my field pack. Hmm, I did managed to get a good arm “workout”. The guys and gals from ITE managed to turn up despite the bad weather. Hmm…I did regretted coming though…after seeing how cramped the place was and seeing how people were being left out of the fun. There were the usual mahjong session and of course my consoles going 24 hour non-stop. And not to mention we had free “radio” as we were close to Siloso Beach where everyone’s partying at. We had our BBQ on and off(Kudos to the weather…) and celebrated Rongqiang’s birthday(31/12). Well Rongqiang had a bad time staying sober after vommiting the chocolate cake out onto the bed.(He drank a cup of Volka…) So it was almost an indoor thing for Day 1. We “managed” to get out despite the light rain for Day 2 and played volleyball. And as usual, I spoilt much fun as I have something against things flying in my direction. I was more like playing Dodgeball….as I was evading. But then I managed to hit the ball and really enjoyed a good sweat. After that, everyone left for home, leaving me, Stanley, Kenneth and Rongqiang. Went for some “serious” food hunting at night then we got knocked out. End of day 2. Left Sentosa today morning and took a cab back home.

I think I had a thing about squeezing into small areas lately. I recalled just one day before the eve of 2004, I had a karaoke session with 12 persons in a suite. Not to mention everyone’s trying to get their chance to sing. Poor Terence only managed to sing just a single song. Jimmy’s and Brandon’s singing were what I expected. Jimmy really relied on his “Jia Yin” too much but he’s good. Brandon just need to put more emotion than usual. Erm….Valentine…..was really nerve-wrecking and glass-shattering. Well….it’s not like his voice sound real bad but he just need to learn how to sing.

Update on blog….well I wanted to complete the blog before 2005 but I didn’t have much time doing so. I gonna put pictures from the chalet so stay tuned.

Hmm I failed to mention this in my earlier entry. My resolutions for this year.
a) I hope to further my studies.
b) I hope to win lottery(Hoping bigger wins on ‘Scratch’….)
c) I hope to get attached.(…Optional…)
d) I hope to lose weight and gain some muscle.(Hmm….Jiahui is ripped now…. :P )
